the korean tidal wave

nowadays, it hard to miss out a korean student in school. Heaps of them are coming here in the Philippines to study eeeenglish..=)...and everywhere i look, there's a korean dude, sporting her korean hairstyle and HER korean get-up, the loose and baggy clothing..and i'm loving it!

speaking of koreans...loads of korean artists have hit the shores of the philippines early this year..First off we have Shinee...and then 4minute...and then F.T. Island is coming over in a few weeks, and nSuper Junior...I've only watched one of them, because the upcoming shows are WAAAY expensive!!..i can't believe it...i mean people pay to watch someone sing a song which they hardly ever understand..well, anyway.. music IS universal...so what the heck...

My last few ACADEMIC weeks in school have been really exhausting and i still have my cultural presentation...which is killing my nerves..haha..and our thesis...which we will be defending, in a few days...i am currently seeking DIVINE intervention (accdg. to my friend BJ who told me about St. Jude's novena, which is working...yey!) because all this stress is really depressing...

so in order to hype up my mood, I make sure that i take my daily dose of korean music videos to cheer me up...=) and here's my favorite..You and I by Park Bom..=)

sometimes i feel so insecure about other people having this and that. but today when I met Mr. *******, I realized that my life isn't so bad after all, and I have to be thankful for all the little and BIG things coming my way..

I had a "once in a lifetime" experience today interviewing someone who sold his kidney, i don't think many will ever experience doing this, and I think that in this short-lived life of ours, we just have to cherish every second of it, and be thankful for every little blessing that we receive..

one VERY expensive watch.

minutes ago, I was surfing the internet..yet again, my attention was drawn to the word "Patek Phillipe". The only thing that i know about it, is that it's a brand of ridiculously expensive watches. Watches afforded only by the the super rich people..by the way, who spends millions on a watch? lol..anyway...

Before being totally turned-off by the unreasonable price of this watch, i tried to google pictures of it and I was glued to the screen of my computer after seeing this:

this watch is the Patek Philippe "Supercomplication" pocket watch. I've never seen one, but it's on my list of things to buy when I get really rich..too bad the company only produced 4 of these babies. Unfortunately, they were made in 1989, the year I was born, so apparently with only four watches made I don't think there are any left. Too bad.

Well, it costs 6 million dollars, a piece! and it weighed 3lbs (seriously, too heavy for a watch). with 33 functions.

I hope by the time I have become a multi millionaire, sharing the ranks of Oprah in the Forbes' wealthiest women..LOL,  Patek Phillipe, has yet again created a stylish watch like this..by then I'm hoping to buy one..
