2011 - last goodbye

the Chinese New Year just ended. And before I finally say goodbye to 2011, I just want to say that I HAD SO MUCH FUN LAST YEAR!

dayummmm.

I couldn't believe that I would meet so many new people and be part of so many great things. Here's a slew of photos from what happened last year... **cue drum roll :)

I won't be specifying any months..so first up: It was my first time to attend a book launch, and I got a book for freee yey!!! I haven't read it though..but I will :)

and of course, I got to meet THE Jason Magbanua at the Ayala Museum for one his talks. I AM A TOTAL FAN.

I also got to see loads of plays this year...Got to see William, which is Filipino rap musical about Shakespeare...cool huh?

Met a chef at Enderun...and learned how to cook :)

First time to attend a press conference...and see Judy Ann Santos up close...haha..

 

Saw another AWESOME play this year... CAREDIVAS...It is definitely the best musical I have seen and I highly recommend it to Filipinos of all ages.

 

Spent my birthday in Baler, for the first time without my family. Went surfing and attended the Surf and Music Festival...define an awesome birthday weekend

and of course...I went to Singapore :)) the best part is that I got to go for free! well, anything free is awesome :)

and of course I met a lot of new friends :)

I know I gained A LOT of weight last year, especially during the last few months...ahahaha...but nevertheless, this year, I will start afresh and begin start to live my dream.

2011 was a blast, but I bet 2012 will be better. So cheers to a new year and new experiences ahead.

Okay, so a few weeks ago, I discovered Fliptop.

I've been hearing my geeky brother tell me about this rap battle/conference, whatever you call it on youtube, but I never really took interest. And then one VERY boring weekend, I stumbled upon a fliptop video on youtube. And there I was...ADDICTED.

So one of my favorite battles MCs (that IS how they call it) is Abra.

I don't want to sound stalker-ish but I just learned that his real name is Raymond Abracosa ( i hope I spelled it right ) and for the other Abra fans out there he'll be having a rap battle against Batas. To know more about Batas, search him on youtube :)

I won't be able to watch it live, since none of my friends are into this shit, and it's toooo far to go alone. I mean it's in makati and i live in freakin QC.

I'll probably be watching this online :'(

I've been laying off writing for some time now, and I finally got more time up my sleeves. The only problem is, I'm seriously running out of munny :/

Currently I am doing nothing. But for some reason I'm hella tired. I tried this new Master cleanse diet, wherein you don't eat. period. All you can take in is lemonade, or some citrus-sy drink, and water, and tea.

I'm feeling really tired and sleepy, since I've only eaten a handful today. so tired. I've come across a few interesting/creepy/old photos from flavorwire. This just shows how weird I can get:

Imagine what type of cameras were used back then...CREEPY. Well, enough of the old and almost-horrific/scary photos, here's a video that just made my day. The cutest french baby ever!

hello 2012!

Hello 2012 :)

I haven't been posting anything "worth reading" lately since I have been really busy with life.

Another year has come and I can say that 2011 has been really good to me, except for the fact that I still haven't found Mr. Right. And I'm still in pursuit of that person. I don't really know, but when it comes to love if people should wait or look for it. Some say that you don't look for it, since it just comes along, when you least suspect it.

Some people even say that you don't really end up with the person you dream about, and all that shizz just happens in movies. Well, yeah, I've been watching heaps of romance movies, and all I end up having are false hopes. Guys, come on, it's not like y'all believe in that shit? well, I used to.

I always dreamt having a boyfriend, the one that was the perfect real life guy that I was always dreaming of. But guess what, I haven't seen him yet. It's sad because in real life, no one really falls in love in a few days. And you just don't bump into someone and fall in love at first sight. Wake up guys, this isn't Hollywood. But, to tell you the truth, I've known people who've had movie like experiences. Well, good for them. A I envious? hell yeah.

Well, this year I told myself that I would stop building walls around me. This has been a big problem of mine. I kinda realized that I have this mental thing going on. I have a huge crush on a guy, then he ends up liking me..FOR REAL. I've had two experiences so far. But I end up not liking the person, shutting him out, and then regretting it in the end.

I know I am kinda choosy, but what are decisions for if we don't choose right?

So this year, I will try to open up and talk to people more often. Let loose and explore more. I hope this will work.

Here is a short list of the things I want done this year. I'm not really good at lists, but let's see what happens:

 

1. TRAVEL. Yes I will travel a lot this year. Not try to travel, but I WILL travel. Even if it just means within the Philippines. besides it's more fun in the philippines! To tell you the truth traveling is a bit expensive, but who cares? It's the experience that counts, and besides when I get kids I don't think I can do this more often. So i gotta make use of what youth I have left.

2. Make new friends. Okay, so truthfully I'm not really good with socializing. But this year I will try to look and sound more friendly. I have a handful of friends, very few infact. But I'm not complaining, since the few that I have are actually the best people I have right now. But it won't hurt to gain a few more right? And besides I need a lot of people to invite on my wedding day :) LOL..the more the merrier!

3. Become a writer. Yes one of the dreams that I had fulfilled last year. I got to write and earn from it. A Lot. And I am so thankful. But of course I want to be a PUBLISHED  writer and work in a magazine. That would be fun. This year I am gonna do this! I swear.

4. Get a dog. This past few weeks I've been looking high and low for an AFFORDABLE dog. I have no idea why dogs are so expensive here. WTF I saw an ad that said the dog they were selling was PHP30,000 and here that is like EXPENSIVE! I mean yeah I know it's the puppy of some whack dog that won at a dog contest. but cmon? does someone buy that?

5. Lose weight. Seriously. I have been trying to lose weight for the past year, and I just can get past the temptation....of eating. Food is soooo good man. But LOL anyways, I'm not really fat, but I'm not skinny either. And everyone in the family says I'm fat. I don't know but there are other girls who are way more obese than I am, but why are they saying I'm fat? This is all their fault. So I'm not going to eat from now on. Well, I am. LOL but not so much anymore. Due to my busy sched I can't really go to the gym and stuff, so starving myself might be the only option.

6. Find love. This has been my lifelong dream and goal. I seriously don't want to end up an old maid, just like my two aunts. I want to have a family of my own. Kids. A husband. But first I have to find a boyfriend. I hope that guy is so worth the wait.

So those are the things that I want done this year. I am so ON. Oh before I forget, I also promise to blog more frequently. And stop blogging about nonsense shit..hahaha...forgive me.
